TGN Celebrates the Legacy of Ricky Grundy, Dead 56

Totally Gospel Network has just received word that veteran gospel artist, songwriter and choir leader Rickey Grundy passed this morning at the age of 56. Grundy had been experiencing a season of health challenges. A tribute and fundraising concert was scheduled for August 30, 2015.

The Los Angeles-based Grundy is best known for leading his ensemble, The Rickey Grundy Chorale. The group’s 1988 debut, Spirit Come Down, was followed by a self-titled album in 1990, both of which charted on the Billboard gospel chart. In more recent years, Grundy focused much of his attention on serving local churches and religious communities in Southern California.
