Bishop John Young - Just Say No

Bishop John Young - JUST SAY “NO”! "Then Peter said, 'Silver or gold, I do not have…'" — Acts 3:6 This message is for anyone feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands—whether you're in ministry, managing a career, raising a family, or simply trying to keep up. Saying "no" isn’t weakness; it's wisdom. It's self-care. It’s making room for God to restore what’s been lost. Underneath our streets flow supplies of water, natural gas, and even electricity—each controlled by valves and meters that regulate the flow. But what happens when the pipes leak or the wiring burns out? The supply is there, but the connection is broken. Spiritually and emotionally, many of us experience the same thing. We pour into others, but over time, the wear and tear show—leaks in our emotional plumbing, sparks in our spiritual wiring. We keep flipping the switch, trying to push through, until we short-circuit completely. I know this all too well. After decades of ministry—pastoring, leading worship, running radio stations, and never missing a Sunday—I found myself drained, broken, and disconnected. Depression, betrayal, financial loss, and personal struggles overloaded my system. And still, I kept trying to "fix" it myself. But the truth is simple: Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is just say NO. If you've been running on empty, struggling in silence, or ignoring the warning signs—this is your wake-up call. It's time to stop patching the leaks and start allowing true healing. Just say NO. #Faith #Healing #SelfCare #Ministry #MentalHealth #SayNo
